Planning a dream trip to Sydney and want to stay near the cool waters and pristine sands of our most iconic beach? Well if you need some tips on lodging read on.
Bondi has a relatively small population (around 10,000 people) but that doesn’t stop it having a wide range of places to stay to suit practically any budget, from backpacker to billionaire. But where to start? Well you could spend a few hours searching the internet and comparing details but to make it easy we thought we would list a few different options below:
- 1. Sinclair’s Bondi – http://www.sinclairsbondi.com.au/ Price: $60.00 – $170.00 per night
Sinclair’s provides upscale backpacker accommodation in an almost hotel environment. Located about 10 minutes from Bondi Junction train station and 10 minutes from the beach it provides free internet and nice regular rooms at budget price. Not quite as classy as a hotel but definitely a step up from most hostels and at an easily affordable price.
- 2. The Swiss-Grand Resort and Spa – http://www.swissgrand.com.au/
Price: $200+ per night
At the other end of the spectrum is the Swiss-Grand Resort and Spa, a 4.5 star hotel located a stone’s throw from the beach. Not exactly cheap but definitely high class experience to treat yourself to. Spa, heated pool and all the luxuries that can be expected from a world class hotel, potentially as close to paradise as you can get on Bondi Beach with a price tag to suit.
- 3. Surfside Bondi Beach – http://www.surfsidebackpackers.com.au/bondi-beach-bookings/ Price: $26.00 – $99.00 per night (Seasonal)
Another great budget location, Surfside Bondi offers a selection of rooms which vary from gender specific dorm rooms to hotel style double suites. Although some people have complained of hidden costs, this is still a great deal if you are looking to spend as little as possible on a room so that you can spend more at the bars. And with beach in sight of the hotel you will probably be staying there as little as possible anyway.
- 4. Waldorf Bondi Serviced Apartments – http://www.bondi-serviced-apartments.com.au/ Price: $105.00 – $200.00 per night (Seasonal)
For a higher class experience you might want to rent your own apartment for the trip. Waldorf’s Bondi Serviced Apartments are located around one kilometre from the beach and can easily be a home-away-from-home for a short or an extended vacation. These luxuriously decorated apartments go beyond a hotel room and give a level of privacy and comfort you can seldom find outside your own home.
- 5. Ravesi’s Hotel on Bondi Beach – http://www.ravesis.com.au/
Price: $200+ per night (Seasonal)
Ravesi’s Hotel provides a traditional hotel experience with the added benefit of being one of Bondi’s hottest bars. Featuring their own cocktail bar, restaurant, wine bar and a high standard of accommodation, if you can afford it then this is the perfect place for a group of party goers or even just a couple looking for a good time. Also with water views and a short walk to the beach this can be a beautiful place to wake up after a big night.
